Are you ready to dive into the captivating world of soap making with the S2E students? Using the cold process, which involves combining olive oil with lye, our students learnt about the chemistry behind this reaction called saponification. With lye, oils, and a dash of imagination, they created soap masterpieces. This activity allowed our students to gain a hands-on experience when measuring and mixing the components, as well as when incorporating fragrance. At the end of the day, the students developed practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the science and art of soap making.
