• Operation "Cleaning Lebanon" The Hope of Tomorrow by CE1 5 photos

Nine responsible children, whose age range varies between 5 and 7 years, have decided to fix the environmental mess caused by adults. Therefore, on June 22nd, 2021, they launched their operation "Cleaning Lebanon". It is in this respect that Maribelle Jo (7 yo) stated, "I care about the health of my country and planet". Her friend Emilia (7yo) declared that she wanted to pick the garbage "to reduce pollution in nature."

Accompanied by their mothers, these 9 young leaders headed to Rafik Hariri Park in DownTown Beirut, equipped not only with the necessary material but also with knowledge. In fact, before they started the actual clean-up, Ghadi (7 yo) explained to the group how to sort the garbage, whose main benefit, according to Chris (7yo) "is the protection of our planet, our homes and life”.

This beautiful team, made up of Saints Cœurs Ain Najm students, spent two hours meticulously cleaning the park and sorting trash. When asked why they were doing so, Yasmina (7 yo) explained her reasons, "It is because your generation's irresponsible and careless behavior will make our generation suffer".

We thank these little angels; may God bless them and plant in them the seeds of a more responsible behavior towards our planet, country and nature.
