ib diploma programme

The IB Diploma Programme is a two-year program designed for students aged 16 to 19. It encourages them to become independent learners and critical thinkers. Through the implementation of the Approaches to Learning and Teaching skills, students develop strong academic knowledge and awareness that brings them closer into becoming better communicators, risk-takers, and principled citizens.

The Diploma Programme consists of six subjects groups and three core components: TOK, Extended Essay, and CAS. The subjects’ offerings for the 2026-2027 academic year are the following:

Subject Selection

Group 1: English A: Language and Literature (SL and HL)

Group 2: Arabic B (HL only)

Group 3: Business Management (SL and HL)

Group 4: Physics, Biology, Chemistry (SL and HL)

Group 5: Maths AA (SL and HL)

Group 6: Arts (SL only)

Students aiming for the full Diploma will choose one subject out of each group with three of them at SL and three at HL. Given the equivalence requirements by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, students holding the Lebanese passport will have to enroll in Arabic B at HL. They will also sit for History and Civics (Lebanese curriculum) courses at the school along with internal assessments for both these subjects.
