Le 18 décembre 1978, en pleine guerre du Liban, le petit Collège Saint- Joseph des Sœurs des Saints- Cœurs d’Ain Najm a été fondé à Ain Saadé, dans le Metn, au cœur d’une forêt de pins de 53 250 m², avec des locaux spacieux et modernes conçus par l'architecte international Jacques Liger-Belair. Ce qui commença comme une école primaire mixte est rapidement devenu un pilier de l'éducation au Liban.
