Back to School-Back to Nature!

3 octobre 2022

This year, September has brought the students back not only to school but also to nature. It is in this respect that our 10th graders headed to the region of Wata El Jawz in Keserwan, where they were welcomed fervently by Mrs Suha Frem, the owner of Wata Cider.
It is in this natural setting that our students were introduced to the characteristics of different types of apples and to the climatic conditions favourable for their growth. This introductory phase was followed by an apple picking activity, much to the enjoyment of the highschoolers, who competed against each other to see who would pick more apples.
Afterwards, Mrs Frem showed them how apple juice is made. They even took part in the process and got to taste the most delicious and organic apple juice. In the end, the students were briefed about the several steps of making Wata Cider as well as to the variety of cider that they produce.
It is true that this day taught grade 10 students all about apples, but it also allowed them to bond together in a natural setting under the shade of apple trees. We would like to thank Mrs Suha Frem and Wata Cider team for their remarkable generosity and their welcoming attitude! From grade 10 to all of them, a big THANK YOU!
