On June 7, 2023, Saints Coeurs Ain Najm celebrated the Blue Pine Award with a grand style as it has been officially declared “The first water Model School in Lebanon”. In fact, Saints Coeurs Ain Najm held the closing ceremony of the “Save the blue to stay Green” project, funded by USAID through the water sanitation and conservation project, in the presence of the US Embassy chargé d’affaires Mr. Richard Michaels, the mission director of USAID, Ms. Eileen Devit, the minister of energy and water Mr. Walid Fayad, the general secretary of the catholic schools Father Youssef Nasr, the mother superior of SSCC Congregation and other public figures, partners, teachers and parents.
Throughout this 10-month project, Saints Coeurs Ain Najm not only trained teachers, students and parents from sister schools of the congregation to the importance of water conservation and its correct usage, but also installed systems for rain water collection, smart irrigation, solar power and water saving tools on the school premises.
This night was also dedicated to celebrate the success of students, who were given a standing ovation for their outstanding results in the various competitions that they took part in.
