The Golden Pine Award Ceremony

In the presence of esteemed guests — Her Excellency Dr. Tamara El Zein, Minister of the Environment, MP, Deputy Said El Asmar, Father Youssef Nasr, Secretary General of the Catholic Schools in Lebanon, Mr. Imad Al Achkar, Director General of the Private Sector at the Ministry of Education, Mrs Isabelle Picault, conseillère adjointe de coopération et d'action culturelle, three mayors of neighbouring municipalities, the professional basketball player, Aziz Abdel Massih, teachers and parents, the 12th edition of the Golden Pine Award Ceremony unfolded with elegance and emotion on our campus.

This annual tradition, rooted in the celebration of excellence, shone brightly this year through four essential themes that define our mission: our ecological commitment, our inclusive school culture, the current integration of the IBDP programme alongside the French Baccalaureate, and our embrace of artificial intelligence and new technologies in education.

The ceremony honored outstanding academic achievements, victories in national and international competitions, and the powerful journeys of our valedictorians. A rich artistic programme, featuring music and dance from students of all levels, added a graceful tone to the event.
The moment was made even more meaningful by a heartfelt tribute to our late student, Louis David Merhi. A special award was presented in his name to a Grade 11 student, keeping his legacy of kindness and spirit alive within the heart of our school.

It was a night of pride, unity, and vision, marking another milestone in the story of SSCC.
