Twelve of our students embraced an exciting new challenge this year by participating in the Paris Model United Nations, diving into the world of international diplomacy alongside peers from across the globe. The experience pushed them to think critically, speak confidently, and collaborate with people from around the world. Their dedication paid off, earning them six awards—including Best Delegate, Best Position Paper, Honorable Mentions, and Press Rising Talent. Two alumni, Jerome Bsherrawi (Class of 2022) and Jean-Paul Kanaan (Class of 2023), returned to the conference as chairs, continuing their involvement in the MUN journey that began at SSCC Ain Najm.
Beyond the debates and resolutions, students explored the city’s landmarks, from The Louvre Museum, to Disneyland, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, making the most of their time in Paris. The presence of alumni Alexandre Daou (Class of 2019) and Lama Aarawi (Class of 2024) added a sense of continuity and support, showing that MUN at SSCC Ain Najm is more than just an extracurricular activity, but a long-lasting community!
This was more than a conference or a trip; it was a meaningful experience that will stay with them for years to come!
