ATEL National Reading Competition 2016

Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you use to change the world.” Like every year, SSCC Ain Najm involves its students in the National Reading Competition in order to push them to read books and enhance their linguistic skills.
Out of 12066 participants, 1117 projects were accepted and 185 won in this year’s competition. We are extremely delighted to announce that SSCC Ain Najm has finally won the 1st prize for the first time in its history with the incredible and magnificent student Lynn Azar (Grade 8 and currently Grade 9) who presented an original and amazing work of art with a detailed explanation and summary.
In addition to the 1st prize, 8 other students have also won other prizes:
• Michelle Smaira (Grade 4): 2nd prize with honour.
• Akram El Hajj (Grade 6): 2nd prize.
• Maria Kanaan (Grade 6): 2nd prize.
• Maria Bejjani (Grade 6): 2nd prize.
• Jennifer Fares (Grade 4): 2nd prize.
• Maria Bejjani (Grade 6): 2nd prize.
• Jennifer Fares (Grade 4): 2nd prize.
• Elias Zoghbi (Grade 6): 2nd prize.
• Amanda Awad (Grade 4): 3rd prize.
• Marie-Belle Kassab (Grade 6): 3rd prize.
