Lord Baden-Powell once said: "The most worth-while thing is to try to put happiness into the lives of others". That’s mostly where our motto “Servir” comes from.
Our clan strives to serve God, our country, family and friends. We always worked on giving back to the community; help the poor and plant the seed of happiness in the hearts of the less fortunate.
Knowing that it’s part of our mission, our Clan took part in a charity event organised by "Mission de vie" at the Forum de Beyrouth. This event was a way to make the less fortunate be happy during the holidays and feel God’s presence.
Our support couldn’t be complete without helping out our beloved school and other units of our Group as well. This was accomplished through either workshops, formation sessions or providing the needed support in organising our school’s events. Our Clan was always there and never seemed to lack the driving force to provide the needed support even on short notices.
Apart from helping others, Clan – Samurais has the obligation to work on each member’s individual progression. Therefore, several sessions were organised towards accomplishing that goal. To name a few, one was led by ACG Christophe Abi Nassif and fellow clan member Georges Bou Chaaya concerning the principles of "Jalons","Première veille" and "Depart". This session was complemented by another one presented by Commissaire Julien Bitar.
Moreover, members of the Clan participated in a spiritual debate held by Mr Elie Hakim who delved into the mysteries of spiritualism. The presentation was enlightening. It altered some of our beliefs concerning exorcism but it strengthened our faith as well.
