Struggling with Your Child’s Homework??? Not Anymore!

If you are a parent who is finding it really hard to work with your children on their assignments in the afternoon, then the conference « Devoirs sans conflits » that was organized by the parents’ committee, is definitely meant for you! It is actually by identifying the different types of learners and memory that you can get a wider idea as to how you can provide the necessary assistance to your kids without making them dependent on you.
That is why Mrs Caline Deek started the conference by establishing a scientific distinction between the two brain hemispheres. Then she explained the different types of learners and the characteristics of each. If, for example, your child is a visual learner, then you can easily draw his/her attention by using images, charts, etc. If your child is auditory, then he/she would like to study where there is background music and learn better when listening to a script, and if your kids are kinesthetic, then they like to move and to learn by actually doing the action.
Mrs Deek also explained the importance of raising autonomous children and gave the parents practical tips related to attitude, organization of time and tasks and choice of workplace to make the afternoons with your children more fruitful and less stress-free!
