"When the world says "give up", hope whispers, try it one more time."
Marie Khoury was living an ordinary life until one day, all of her chances of achieving her dreams were gone.
An incident occurred in her life after her senior year, and she woke up in a hospital bed with the horrific news of being permanently paralyzed.
After all she's been through, she still remains positive and tries to live her life to the fullest, believing in God.
She showed us that even when life grants you unfortunate luck, it doesn't mean you can't prove life is wrong. You simply just keep moving forward accepting how your life is destined to be.
Part of our social project with people with special needs, we made a visit to the painter who continues to draw despite her lack of movement. Actually, her drawings are absolutely beautiful and just by seeing her strength and confidence, her story was carved in our minds forever.
