"Always Reign Never Bow" Universities' Fair 2017

SSCC Ain Najm hosted over 15 universities on four different dates where both G12 and G11 students were able to benefit from presentations given by the representatives and the Fair was the cherry on the cake. The purpose of this event was to provide students with an insight into university life and help them and their key influencers navigate their way through the sometimes challenging education landscape. The Fair- whose theme this year was: “Always Reign, Never Bow" - was very interactive whereby students had lots of opportunities to have answers to all their queries from the University Faculty and Staff present to assist them. The students were introduced to the benefits of higher education, their awareness of the range of courses which can be studied and the importance of decisions was increased, their knowledge of new subjects and the careers it can lead to was clarified, and above all the students were familiarized with different aspects of university life including teaching and learning, accommodation, student finance and scholarships and extra-curricular activities. This event is the start of a series of academic events, orientations, and speakers that the students were, are, and will be exposed to, in order to try and shed more light and give more guidance towards shaping their academic path and their futuristic profession.
