Back to School… All the way from the US! Lucas A. jaoude's visit

After a successful journey that took him all the way from Ain Najm to MIT and now New York, here is our alumnus Lucas Abou Jaoude, sharing his tips on a variety of issues with our high school students.
The interactive session was an eye opener for our teenagers, whose questions about motivation, success, economy, perseverance, the hardships of living abroad on your own and how to overcome them as well as the importance of connecting with the homeland were answered with complete honesty.
When asked about a piece of advice to give, our alumnus asked them to focus on themselves and on their self-development, pointing out that he works out and reads every day after working for twelve hours! The visit ended in Sr Nawal’s office, where Lucas expressed how proud he is of these young people.

After two years of a never-ending pandemic and amid an economic crisis, meeting with high school students at SSCC Ain Najm for a message of hope was a necessity.
After long discussions with grades 11 and 12 students, what was supposed to be a message of hope and motivation from my side turned out to be a two-way giveaway! I thought students would be demotivated and idle, but instead I saw in them resilience and perseverance. I was truly amazed by the students’ questions, excitement, confidence, and personality.
Ain Najm has certainly built their foundations on rock like previous classes. My gut feeling says some of their CVs will cross my desk one day!
